COACTA SAFETY GUIDELINES

Effective Date: 2026-10-13

Your safety is primarily your responsibility. Coacta connects people for planned activities and clubs; we do not supervise meetups or guarantee anyone's conduct. Coacta is for adults 18 and older.

General

- Meet first in public, well-lit places
- Tell a trusted person your plans (who, where, when)
- Trust your instincts and leave if something feels wrong
- Carry ID, a charged phone, and needed medical information
- Avoid alcohol or impairment with new people
- Verify details in-app before relying on last-minute changes sent only off-platform

Location and discovery

- Activity start pins, club addresses, and discovery radius settings can reveal where people gather—share only what you are comfortable making visible to your chosen audience
- Prefer friends-only or club visibility when meeting people you do not know well
- Treat public listings with caution
- A route you import from a file can contain the exact path and times of an activity you actually did; check what a route reveals before you share it
- Coacta does not continuously track your movements or provide live location sharing of your workout path

Activity safety

- Use appropriate gear (helmets, lights, footwear)
- Obey traffic and trail rules
- Communicate pace and group plans; do not pressure others beyond their comfort
- Know your limits; planned pace/distance fields in the app are coordination aids, not medical advice—consult a doctor when appropriate
- Weather, traffic, and trail conditions change; assess conditions yourself
- When hosting, communicate pace groups, gear needs, and cancel promptly if conditions are unsafe
- Keep activity descriptions accurate about difficulty and who the meetup is for

In-app safety

- Prefer in-app messaging before sharing personal contact details
- Use Report and Block on profiles when needed
- Do not share financial information or government IDs
- A group may ask you to accept its own waiver before you can see its activities. Read it. It is that group's document, not Coacta's, and Coacta is not a party to it
- Treat third-party race registration links as external sites with their own practices
- Do not use Coacta to contact or arrange meetups with minors

Child safety and intimate images

- Coacta does not allow anyone to use it to contact, groom, or exploit a minor. Our Child Safety Standards are at coacta.com/child-safety
- If you see sexual content involving a minor, report it in the app or email safety@coacta.com. Do not save, screenshot, or forward it, even to report it
- If someone shares an intimate image of you without your consent, real or fake, ask us to remove it at coacta.com/take-it-down. We remove it within 48 hours of a valid request
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 911

What Coacta does / does not do

- We use date of birth to confirm users are 18 or older
- We review reports submitted in the app and may take enforcement action
- We may review reported messages or Content when investigating safety or Guidelines issues
- We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires
- We do not run background checks or guarantee meetup safety

Report urgent safety issues to local emergency services (911 in the U.S.). Platform reports: in-app tools or safety@coacta.com.
