Child Safety Standards
Coacta is an app for adults to organize sport with clubs, teams, and friends. Coacta Corp does not allow child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) anywhere on Coacta, and we act on it as soon as we learn of it. These standards apply to every part of the app and website: profiles, activities, groups, group chat, direct messages, photos, videos, and anything else people post.
What is not allowed
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any sexual image or video of someone under 18, whether real, drawn, or made with AI.
- Sexual messages to a minor, or trying to build trust with a minor in order to abuse them (grooming).
- Threatening to share someone's images to get more images, money, or sex from a minor (sextortion).
- Trafficking, or advertising or arranging the sexual exploitation of anyone under 18.
- Using Coacta to contact, solicit, or arrange to meet a minor.
- Posting photos or videos of anyone under 18 without being their parent or guardian or having a parent's or guardian's permission, and filming or photographing anyone in a locker room, restroom, or changing area.
Adults only
You must be 18 or older to use Coacta. We ask for a date of birth when an account is created and refuse anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
How to report
- In the app: use Report on the profile, message, group, or activity. Reports come straight to us.
- By email: safety@coacta.com, whether or not you have a Coacta account.
- Directly to NCMEC: the CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
Do not save, screenshot, download, or forward the material, even to report it. Tell us where it is, and we will find it.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first. Coacta cannot respond to emergencies.
What we do
- Remove the material and lock the account involved, without warning the account holder.
- Report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, as United States law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A) requires.
- Keep the reported material and related records where only Coacta can reach them, for at least one year after the report, as the law requires, and give them to law enforcement under valid legal process.
- Do not reinstate an account that we have confirmed was used for child sexual exploitation.
Intimate images of adults shared without consent are covered by our removal process for intimate images.
